8 th GRADE Begins...

Hey Gang,

Welcome and thanks for a great start.

Here's a very cool video on different ways to create LINE ( in keeping with our topic on our notes) that I found fascinating.

The PPT Notes we began today are here:  Line    Or    (non-PPT) :  Line

Today we began our first artwork and first session of notes about line TYPES and STYLES.
You will know and use the different types of and styles of line in this still life drawing.

For Drawing number 1.
Your medium is "drawing with pencil,"  subject matter is "Still Life,"  purpose is "Decorative," style is "Representational," and the element your focusing on is "Line."

Here's the score guide for the drawing:
- Representational
- Draw half or less of still life
- Fill the space of paper with that half
- Use variety of LINEs
- Create depth and Emphasis with Contrasting lines.

Peace,
Mr. Lile
